What ages do Jelly Tots Early Learning Centres cater for?
Jelly Tots Early Learning Centres provide education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. Programs are tailored to each stage of development, supporting children from infancy through to their transition to school.
What are your opening hours?
Our Centres are open Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 6:00pm, 52 weeks of the year, excluding Western Australian public holidays.
What is included in the daily fee at Jelly Tots?
Jelly Tots provides a full day of care including a structured early learning program, nutritious meals, and access to all learning materials and resources. Families also receive regular updates through the XAP app and access to their child’s learning portfolio.
Are meals provided for children?
Yes. Jelly Tots provides breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and supper each day. All meals are nutritionally balanced and follow the Australian Dietary Guidelines, with menus prepared by a qualified cook and tailored to children’s dietary needs.
How does Jelly Tots support children’s learning and development?
Jelly Tots follows the Early Years Learning Framework, focusing on play-based learning that supports each child’s wellbeing, identity, and development. Educators document learning through portfolios, observations and learning stories to guide each child’s individual progress
How do you communicate with families?
Families receive real-time updates about their child’s day through the XAP app. Educators also work closely with families to share progress, discuss development, and build strong partnerships that support each child’s learning journey.
What is the enrolment process at Jelly Tots?
To enrol, families are required to complete an enrolment form, provide supporting documentation such as a birth certificate and immunisation history, and pay an administration fee. Our team is available to support families through the process.
Do you offer orientation before my child starts?
Yes. Orientation sessions are offered before your child’s first day, allowing families and children to become familiar with the Centre, educators and daily routines. This supports a smooth and confident transition into care.
How do you keep children safe at Jelly Tots?
Child safety is a top priority. Jelly Tots maintains a child safe environment through strict supervision, staff training, Working with Children Checks, and compliance with national child safety standards and regulations.
What are your educator to child ratios?
Jelly Tots follows the National Quality Framework ratios:
- Birth to 2 years: 1 educator to 4 children
- 2 to 3 years: 1 educator to 5 children
- 3 years to preschool age: 1 educator to 10 children
Can you support children with additional needs?
Yes. Jelly Tots provides an inclusive environment and works with families and external professionals to support children with additional needs. Support may also be accessed through programs such as the Inclusion Support Program.
What happens if my child has allergies or medical conditions?
Families are required to provide a medical management plan for any allergies or conditions. Educators are trained to manage medical needs, including asthma and anaphylaxis, and work closely with families to ensure each child’s safety and wellbeing.
How do you handle rest and sleep at the Centre?
Rest and sleep routines are based on each child’s individual needs. Children are provided with a calm and comfortable environment, with quiet activities available for those who do not sleep.
What should my child bring each day?
Children are encouraged to bring a labelled drink bottle and wear comfortable clothing suitable for play. The Centre provides learning materials, meals, and resources needed throughout the day.
